I am from Wuhan, China, and am currently a Junior at Emory College.I have been working with Dr. Levin on studying the factors responsible for the profound differences in the per capita incidence of COVID-19 infections among nations, primarily China, Australia, Germany, and the United States. The incidence in China, Australia and Germany are respectively reported to be 1/1000, 1/100, and 1/3 that of the United States. The main focus of my research is the contributions of epidemiological factors, government agencies, social attitudes, and politics to the incidence of COVID-19 infections in the pre-vaccine era and in the current post-vaccine era.Of particular interest are the future COVID-19, the predictions made from mathematical models, studies of the evolution of the virus responsible, SARS-CoV-2, the availability, attitudes toward, and use of vaccines among countries
